The food is always good here, and they have an awesome list of seasonal cocktails and martini’s that keeps changing. The peach cobbler martini is my favorite. Each week a different house made cheesecake is featured. This week it was funfetti black cherry cheesecake………AMAZING!!

We were so nicely treated by our server, Amanda, who, among others, cleaned up after a four year old, delivered our food in record time, and brought my husband’s birthday cake cut and with candles included. We couldn’t have enjoyed the food more if it hadn’t been for the excellent service Thank you!

Good food. A lot to choice from. Good service and the nite we went had a good band there. Will be going again.

Excellent meal and service. Found our new home for prime rib.

“Prime Rib!”

We have driven passed here many times but never stopped. So decided tonight to try it out, worth stopping by if you haven’t already! Chicken wings and garlic bread with cheese started the meal, both good. Then we had the prime rib, very good, comes with salad AND soup! My son had the kids spaghetti, large serving. My other son like the wings so much he had an order for his dinner.

We went back to the Painted Pony for their $22/2 people special on Mondays. Their specialty menu changes often and the food is consistently great. Our favorite server, Claire, is always great and very helpful in suggesting meals.

Painted Pony has the best chicken wings around; original crispy! Their prime rib is not bad either; add in a martini or beer and all together makes an awesome meal! Prices are reasonable and service is always very pleasant. The owner takes much pride (and must work very long hours as she is always there) and stops at tables to say hello. Family atmosphere with yummy food.

Finally stopped and ate here after 46 years of hearing and driving by it. It was FANTASTIC!! Prime rib delicious, pizza amazing, wings some of the best we have ever had! Live music the night we went and my 3 year old daughter and her dad had their first dance to the beautiful soft country band. We ate in the enclosed outdoor area with a gas fire place and great ambience. I can’t wait to go back!

I’m not one to often write reviews; but here goes. I am a new resident to Bethlehem, CT and let’s just say The Painted Pony has become a frequent dining destination. My first visit, I was struck by the kind and attentive staff, wonderful food, remarkable prices, and quality service. As someone who spends much of his time traveling internationally for work, I’m use to one time great ventures. However, each time I returned it remained amazing and the only change was the staff and owner taking the time to get to know me, my name, what brought me to Bethlehem and my favorite menu choices. I average 20-30 meals outside of my home a month. I know restaurants. I know NYC, Paris, China, Italy, San Fran, LA, Malibu, Colorado, FL, ALL OVER….some places are wonderful gems. The Painted Pony is one of them. If you decide not to check it out…honestly….your loss. If you decide to check it out….wise wise choice my friend. Lunch: Go with one of the yummy salads. Dinner: Burgers are AMAZING but so are the specials. Desserts: If you plan to frequent…beware…they are too delicious! Enjoy and go support The Painted Pony team!

Little town of Bethlehem with a great place for your family and friends to go enjoy. Love the heated patio. The steak and scallops are the best. Hot apple cider was perfect on the patio. Came with 10 of my friends and all of us loved it. Thank you painted pony. keep up the good work

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Great atmosphere and the most wonderful staff I have ever dealt with.

We had a good meal here. Gluten Free pasta was a pleasant surprise. Friendly staff. I would return if we were in the area again

On a whim, my friends and I took a drive to the Bethlehem Flea market yesterday and worked up an appetite shopping for furniture and vintage kitsch. The shop owner recommended The Painted Pony, noting “it’s the only thing around here open after 5 on a Sunday.” Good enough.

We strolled in and placed some drink orders (Spanish wine flight for $5?!) while perusing the menu, then ordered a heaping plate of fried calamari. I’ve never seen a CT restaurant serve it this way (usually only Rhode Island) but it came tossed with crumbled gorgonzola, pepperocinis and a balsamic glaze. Love! I also ordered an eggplant parmesan grinder which was delicious on a grilled roll with sauteed peppers and perfectly fried eggplant…
